Trensmat are back….with a blast
Irish record label Trensmat are back in action for 2011 after a couple of years off.
They’re kicking off in style by releasing two dirtily limited 7″s in April (with digital extras) from Astral Social Club and Evan Caminiti (one half of Barn Owl). Frankly, just thinking about these releases gives me the horn.
There are little nugget-sized snatches of each side of each vinyl over on the Trensmat website and they’ve also produced a lovely little video to accompany the first side of the Astral Social Club release:

The album is set for release on January 28th on Bureau-B. It was recorded by Jean-Hervé Peron, Zappi W. Diermaier (both founding members), James Johnston (Gallon Drunk, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), and Gerladine Swayne (…Bender).
