For our 2015 return to Inkfolk, we are doing something very mellow a night of chilled drones and ambient sounds on the cutting edge of experimental. A sort of tribute to the classic Hibernate Records shows that used to happen at the Hole In T’ Wall and the Birchcliffe Centre in 2010. Headlining we have the acclaimed Rough Fields. Described as “Astonishing music” by Gilles Peterson, “Tremendous” by Lauren Laverne, “Really rather good” by Gideon Coe, “Outstanding experimental music” by www.blindfun.com and “…the new Robert Wyatt!” Nick Luscombe (BBC Radio 3).
Speaking of Hibernate Records, our second act The Sly And Unseen is a duo featuring Mr.Hibernate himself, Jonathan Lees and Katie English who records as Isnaj Dui and is a member of The Owl Service and Littlebow among many others. They have released one EP on Rural Colours of beguiling, tactile instrumentals as well as a split vinyl EP with Caught In The Wake Forever.
