Hebden Bridge – Stubbing Wharf – SUZUKI JUNZO + Nick Jonah Davis – Tuesday 16th October

After wowing Hebdeners with his gig here last year, the Japanese psychedelic troubadour is coming back to commence his UK tour here once again. He’s back in support of his new solo album “Eight Sided Infinity”, out September 29th.

A member of the Acid Mothers Temple family, as well as being a prolific solo artist & the lead singer of Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Cosmic Blues Band, he also fronts Japanese psyche wonders Miminokoto and is in the duo 20 Guilders with Tabata Mitsuru of Zeni Geva and Acid Mothers Temple.

In support we have Nick Jonah Davis. Nick’s evocative, solitary playing draws on the modal tunings and freewheeling spirit of British trailblazers such as Bert Jansch and Nick Drake, as well as pre-war blues and the ever deepening post-Takoma tradition. Nick has shared bills in the UK and USA with the likes of Alasdair Roberts, Michael Chapman, C Joynes, Steffen Basho-Junghans, Jozef van Wissem, Alexander Turnquist, and Eric Carbonara. He performed at the 10th Annual New York Guitar Festival in 2010 alongside James Blackshaw and Max Ochs.

Tickets are £4 in advance with a free mix CD from http://wasistdas.bigcartel.com/product/virtual-ticket-suzuki-junzo-stubbing-wharf or £5 on the door.
