isn’t it good to be lost in the wood?
a special, free Was Ist Das? acoustic night at the Blue Pig Inn (also known as Midgehole Working Mens Club) in the woods by Hardcastle Craggs near Hebden Bridge.
location information, including interactive map
For the evening, we provide the following entertainment:
IAN HINTON-SMITH
Ian first made his name as the guitar player for Alfie [Twisted Nerve/Regal Records] but also played most of the drums on Badly Drawn Boy’s classic debut album “The Hour Of The Bewilderbeast”. Since then, he went on to play with Jim Noir which lead to the formation of his last band The Beep Seals.
Ian solo sets typically take in some original material, old classics from his back catalogue and covers of the likes of Kevin Ayres and “Brasil”
JOHNNY POWELL – http://www.johnnypowell.com
singer, songwriter, poet – that’s Johnny. His music straddles the divide between electro-acoustic ambient experimentation and the classic acoustic guitar songwriter.
