Hebden Bridge – Trades Club – DAMO SUZUKI + Forkeyes – Friday 23rd May 2014

Damo 2014 by Mal 400 widthStart off your Spring bank holiday weekend in style! Finally, the man who fronted Can at their absolute peak, Damo Suzuki is returning to the Hebden Bridge Trades Club. Damo lives in the moment, not the past, and every gig is a unique improvised set with a new group of musicians. For this show, Damo is going to play two different sets, each with a different band:

First set:

Bridget Hayden – guitar
Phil Todd – guitar
Mel O’Dubhslaine – synth
Joincey – bass
Rob Glew – drums
John Clyde-Evans – violin & bass

Second set:

Mick West – keyboards
Matt Littlewood – guitar
Anthony Smith – bass
Ian Hinton-Smith – synth
Tom Hawkins – drums

Support comes from Forkeyes, a wild new motoric psyche rock band from Hebden featuring Mike from Bogshed.

Please note, that while we have always endeavoured to make our events public transport friendly, people catching the last trains and buses home are unlikely to see all of the second set. However, as each set will be 45-60 minutes, this still gets you Forkeyes and a full show with Damo backed by Ashtray Navigations, Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides and Bridget Hayden.
