![]() Tussle are a dirty, twisted mass of squelching digital funk, inhuman kosmische rhythms and dubbed outer space sounds. Their debut album, “Kling Klang“ was a hell of an eyebrow raiser and here they raise the stakes even higher. The rhythm section is so tight, you couldn’t fit a neutron in there. There is no other band playing on the planet that comes as close to the rhythm magic of vintage Czukay/Liebzeit than Tussle can. In fact. “Telescope Mind” sounds like the record Can were trying to make with “Flow Motion” – an alien version of James Brown bursting with energy. Other reference points would be the 2nd P.I.L. album, the dirty party sounds of E.S.G. or the manic energy of Pigbag. There’s a lot to like here and I bet they’re even better live. If you like freak outs you can dance to, then I can’t recommend it highly enough. Review by Ned Netherwood Tussle Myspace Page
